Missouri has more glades than any other state. Glades are dry, rocky, thin soil natural areas that occur on south facing hillsides. They support plant and animal life that you can find nowhere else. This talk will explore the nature and history of Missouri glades, focusing on the magnificent plants and animals of this unique environment.
